Spa Week is a bi-annual event that takes place across North America where participating spas offer full-service treatments for $50 each. The Spa Week Event takes place each spring and fall.
The Fall 2009 Spa Week Event takes place:

September 14-20: Arizona, Los Angeles, Nevada, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago and Seattle.

October 12-18: Denver, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Boston, Detroit, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Virginia Beach and Toronto, Canada.

Founded by Cheryl Reid of SPA WEEK MEDIA GROUP, LTD, the concept is meant to make spas affordable to everyone, not just the wealthy. Spa week has grown from 25 participating spas in the New York City area in 2004 to over 500 participating spas in 27 cities in 2009.

I’ve spent a lot of time researching all the spas for Spa Week in NYC and have compiled a comprehensive guide at my site: http://www.spaweekguide.com/. You can browse based on categories like: best of massage, chocolate-based treatments, the best values, etc.. all categorized by neighborhood also and integrated with Yelp for review content and ratings. I’ve even got a listing of the spas I could determine were making Spa Week more like Spa Month with extended specials. Hope this helps someone!

Hi Mari – Thanks for the comment. Great site for info on NYC spa week. So envious of all the great cities that participate and look forward to the day when secondary markets, like my hometown of Syracuse, will be invited to participate too!
