The Essex Resort & Spa
The Essex Resort & Spa (formerly The Inn at Essex) has officially opened its new 22,000 square foot spa and salon, bringing the first complete facility of its kind to the Champlain Valley.
To celebrate the opening, the Resort hosted an open house event Wednesday, July 22, followed by a ribbon cutting with Vermont Governor Jim Douglas.
Featuring 10 treatment rooms, a 25-yard indoor pool, an outdoor hot tub, and a fully-equipped fitness center, Spa at The Essex also includes men’s and women’s locker rooms with steam rooms, saunas, and private lounges. A cafe lounge and juice bar completes the experience. The new facility also offers a full-service salon for hair styling, make-up, manicures, and specialty relaxation pedicures.
“We are very proud of this new project,” said Jim Glanville, general manager of The Essex. “The addition of the full-service spa and salon makes us a true resort destination, and being able to contribute significantly to the local economy is something we are very proud of.”
Located on 18 acres between the Green Mountains and Lake Champlain, The Essex Resort & Spa is a 120-room resort and spa featuring world-class cuisine in Butler’s, our formal dining room, as well as the Tavern. The resortalso offers cooking classes, tennis, golf, hot air ballooning, and are Vermont’s only Orvis°-endorsed fly fishing lodge. The resort is the home of the northernmost campus of the New England Culinary Institute.
